courier-base software package provides Courier mail server - base system, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install courier-base
courier-base is installed in your system.
Make ensure the courier-base package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep courier-base *
You will get with courier-base package name, version, architecture and description in a table
